Currently, Sebastian Burgmann's research deals with multi-phase flows like rising bubbles or moving droplets on surfaces of different wettability. Furthermore, multiphase-flows in contact with porous media are of special interest. These flows are investigated by laser-optical measurement techniques like PIV (particle-image velocimetry).
